Business against Poverty

Putting the heart into business

Business against Poverty is the business division of our charity People against Poverty. It’s a membership community, but not just any membership. You are committing to becoming a business with a greater purpose.

Business Purpose-driven companies are more progressive in their thinking, they attract the best skilled workers, inspire innovation, are more trusted, have greater allegiance and attract more investment.

As you give back as a business, you inspire and connect your customers to your greater purpose as a company. By using the Business against Poverty logo it will differentiate your business from your competitors.

Watch our video here and find out how to join our current members making a difference.

Yesterday we posted about the gentleman who had been diagnosed with cancer. Today I received a photograph of him with his hospital record of his first treatment of Chemotherapy.

So within just 2 days of someone being diagnosed with cancer we have been able to send funds to the project and for treatment to start immediately.

We feel he may have a chance to get through this 🙂

Message received yesterday from one project leader:
A gentleman came to me to ask me if I can help him. He has cancer. He has nothing. He has no job, no money, no support. His Doctor has told him he needs Chemotherapy. He needs to travel 7 times to the hospital and he needs to pay for the treatment. His eyes were full of tears as he asked, please help me, I dont want to die!

Our immediate response: Get him the treatment, we will send the money.

The money arrives today.

This is how we can act and ensure that needs are met by those who are less fortunate than ourselves. We dont know that he will live through this because of all his hardship, but what we do know is that we have given him a chance of survival.

We can't do this without continuous donations supporting our work. Please do consider setting up a small DD each month so that we can help more people just like this gentleman.

Lives depend on us and we can do this together.
