Join People against Poverty in running the Bath Half
We are offering a place on one of our Awareness Trips to Romania for anyone who raises over £1,500 and joins us as a runner in the Bath Half Marathon. These trips are a fantastic opportunity to explore a different culture and witness first-hand the positive impact of your fundraising. PaP has ten remaining marathon places but we are also looking for runners with existing places who would like to make their participation change lives of people living in poverty around the world by fundraising for us.
As we’re sure you already know, events such as this are a vital part of our fundraising efforts and are crucial in enabling us to do the work we do. Last year, as you may recall, the race was cancelled due to the snow and this had an impact on the charities finances, but we believe with the right team of dedicated people, we will have a much better year in 2019. The Bath Half is also a fun way to help you reach your own health goals – helping you to shed a few unwanted pounds or to prove to yourself that you are capable of more than you think. You might even make some new friends on the day.
The race itself takes place on the 17th March 2019 and starts and finishes on Great Pulteney Street. The Bath Half is the single largest fundraising event in the South West and is designed to be open to people of all levels of ability. If you feel like this opportunity is for you, please raise a minimum of £250 in sponsorship and contact PaP at info@peopleagainstpoverty.com or by calling us on 01225 541269.
