Well for our first attempt at running a Christmas Fair, we think we “faired” well. With 25 stalls setting up early on Saturday morning on the first day of December at the newly renovated hall of West Wilts Vineyard Church in Trowbridge, the festivities began to take place and in no time at all, the hall had a wonderful array of beautiful arts and crafts to feast your eyes upon.
During the afternoon we were visited by The Town Cryer, Trevor and The Deputy Mayor, David who came and said a few words to those exhibiting and those visiting. They then took the time to speak to every stall holder before leaving for their other duties of the day.
We cannot thank the team of volunteers that helped to make this a success, who gave their time to clear out the hall of tables and chairs, to help set up all the stalls, for making teas/coffees all day long, for being on the door welcoming people and just being a great support to the charity overall. We couldn’t have done it without you all.
All in all, it was a wonderful day for the charity – and next year we expect it will be a bigger event as we invite more stall holders to join in all the fun.
