Prayer can change lives – why? Because nothing is impossible for God. Jesus said:
“With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.”
We have experienced the amazing difference prayer makes. He transforms lives and situations. We would really value your prayers and would love you to pray on a regular basis for People against Poverty.
To our generous supporters who continue to give to our work enable us to work with the most neediest of people.
Our first prayer is for Nepal. We pray for the families and children that we work with, we pray for Krishna and his family who have also lost their home to the earthquake that they will find land to rent. We pray for the country as a whole that the monsoon will not do anymore damage to the country. That the aftershocks will cease and that the country can start to make a progression to getting back on its feet. We pray for funds to flow through the charity in order that we can continue to support the work that is so desperately need to help the people of Nepal.
Prayer for each of our project leaders, Valentine, Krishna, Gertrude, Prasant, Webster, Ben and Katie. That they are protected in their work and for their well being, keeping them safe from harm and illness.
We would like general prayer for the charity that God will continue to pour his blessings over us. We will do our best to ensure that His will is done through the work that we support in our projects.
Prayer for the team here in the UK and the volunteers who give up their time to help us move forward. We give thanks that they are here in the first instance and being able to use their skills in a way that helps the charity keep focussed on its mission. We pray that their work will be recognised and blessings are poured out to them for that work.
“Let us aknowledge the Lord; let us press on to acknowledge Him. As surely as the sun rises, He will appear.”
