Prayer can change lives – why?
Because nothing is impossible for God. Jesus said:
“With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.”
We have experienced the amazing difference prayer makes. He transforms lives and situations. We would really value your prayers and would love you to pray on a regular basis for People against Poverty.
To our generous supporters who continue to give to our work enabling us to carry out our work with the most neediest of people.
“Give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus”.
1 Thessalonians 5
Pray for our country as the lockdown is lifted and businesses open up their doors once more. Pray that the economy will recover and that those who have lost jobs will find new ones to replace them.
Pray for those affected by the Coronovirus. That families will be able to provide for themselves. That they can feed their children. To keep everyone safe in their communities as the disease spreads.
Pray for each of our project leaders, Valentine & Raul, Krishna & Sita, Gertrude, Prasant, Webster and Ben & Katie. That they are protected in their work and for their well being, keeping them safe from harm and illness.
We would like general prayer for the charity that God will continue to pour his blessings over us. We will do our best to ensure that His will is done through the work that we support in our projects.
Pray for the team here in the UK and the volunteers who give up their time to help us move forward. We give thanks that they are here in the first instance and being able to use their skills in a way that helps the charity keep focused on its mission. We pray that their work will be recognised and blessings are poured out to them for that work.
“Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.”
