Dear Friends and Supporters,
I have had the privilege of serving the charity as Chair of Trustees for 9 years and in that time I have overseen significant growth and witnessed the impact of our work on thousands of lives. I in consultation with Valerie, (my wife and our CEO) I have determined that it is now the time for me to step aside as the Chair while continuing to serve as a trustee, contributing to our great mission as the co-founder of People against Poverty and founder of Business against Poverty.
One of the areas of great satisfaction to me is the building of a strong, committed, and professional board of trustees. It is without hesitation that I have handed the reins to Dr. Harvey Maylor; supported as co-chair by Mr. Paul van Haver. Both these individuals have a huge heart for the work of the charity and have displayed outstanding commitment in supporting me. Harvey and Paul are at the top of their game in their respective professional fields, gifted intellectually and passionate
about our mission.
Under their new leadership, we have already begun to harness all that we have achieved and reenergized our focus in developing a fresh and exciting strategy to take us into a new period of impact both in the UK and overseas.
So as Chair its goodbye but be assured I very much remain in supporting our great mission through the leadership of Valerie and the board. I am looking forward to a very exciting future.
