We live in the 21st Century and aesthetics and dignity are of paramount importance.
At DESIGNATE our aim is to enable people of all ages, including those who are well or have minor or major disabling health conditions, to achieve and enjoy aspirational 21st century living.
We believe that a house should be a home – a sanctuary, a place to be proud of, to be enjoyed and where friends and family can be entertained. We are acutely aware that décor and space have either a positive or negative effect on safety and the ability to thrive, and so we design beautiful, safe, non-clinical, enabling environments that meet the physical psychological social and spiritual needs of our clients.
This involves ‘Thinking outside the Box’. Using our combined Occupational Therapy and Interior Design skills we are able to risk assess high street and bespoke products, and wherever possible incorporate these in our design solutions in preference to traditional clinical disability equipment. However, if a clinical piece of equipment is necessary, we are able to either disguise , or upgrade, it to a product that is less clinical in appearance.
Our Inclusive Interior Design service covers all types of residential housing needs – from simple room makeovers to extensions, full house refurbishments, new builds and we specialise in
Multi-generational Living and Live-in Care.
We also undertake Interior design for small commercial projects ( e.g. small Day Care centres) and are happy to work with forward-thinking equipment manufacturers in the development of enabling products that are not only functional but attractive and can be used by everyone.
The service is based in Bristol but is available UK -wide.
