Neema Crafts provides training and employment opportunities for over 120 people with disabilities in the Iringa region of Tanzania. It also aims to change negative attitudes towards people with disabilities in the local society.

We have had an association with Neema Crafts since 2003.  Touched by the plight of the disabled and the empowering work of Neema Crafts we made available our child sponsorship programme to its courageous workers.

Our presence developed into the local community of Iringa where we support our very own audiologist Julie Horner from Bath here in the UK.  Julie works with the children from the local deaf school to provide customised digital hearing aids, giving them the gift of hearing.
